in my mind
things that inform, intrigue and inspire me
Looking forward and seeing some lovely things …
Funny, the theme of this months calendar/wallpaper is Be Who You Are … and that is the same theme I picked for my 2023 calendar! It was such fun putting that together, to see the idea just begin and take hold so strongly. I think it’s a good theme for the year ahead, and I am looking forward to it!
A bounty of possibilities in the studio!
In the turbulent world we are experiencing, HOPE is one thing I keep in the forefront. Hope is the connection we have to our Trust and Faith that the forces beyond our control or understanding, are fashioning a new world for us. I believe it is in our highest and best interest. This is my hope.
I celebrate connection …

I trust my own wise self … and other voices
I have discovered a new freedom of being, and it feels quite fantastic. It seemed to come suddenly, but I know that the elements of it have been at work for quite awhile. This is the beginning of something magical.

Finally accepting what really works for me
The warm weather is slow to arrive here, and some days I find my thoughts and actions equally slow, but not in a bad way! I am learning more and more about the beauty and power of slow, and it turns out, it works very well for me.
Understanding the importance of connection
Sometimes I feel as slow to emerge as this spring has been. Yet I know that all things emerge in their proper time and way. I must be patient and just keep showing up. This is the best thing for me to do!
One third through a year of constant change …
There are so many changes … seasons, locations, world, personal … and it is important to recognize and honour them all, even in some small way!
Same and yet completely different
Finding joy in colouring on black paper is hard to describe. It’s as if I have discovered a previously undiscovered land.
New uses for common art tools
In all the years I have been a graphic designer, and even before that, as a child who doodled on everything, I don’t think I have ever drawn on windows. Well, I have now, and it’s quite a lot of fun. This drawing on the window however, started out as purely practical.
