“Modern Words for Beauty” Poems by Mary Ann Moore
$25.00
modern words for beauty honours being a poet, and some of the poets who have inspired Mary Ann. She looks back to see where her poet was born. “The Creator thought: We’ll make her an only child, place her in her grandparents’ care, give her time on her own to become a poet.” from Goddess of the Mountains. In a magical blend of wonder, poignancy, and whimsy, Mary Ann Moore captures the nuances of every day such as the road sign that inspired a poem, Night Work on 10th Street – a reflection of a life examined. “I have abandoned all my other lives for this one.” from Carnival Cat.
